Balcony Sessions 2010
Ray-ban Rooms Balcony Sessions are back. There have been two so far and I am not sure how many there will be, but both of them have been pretty amazing. About a week ago, Rox took the stage at the Flowerpot and commanded it. It takes a lot to light up the stage and she really did it. Enjoy:

Watchman - Peggy Sue
I know I have been posting so many songs lately, but I find so much inspiration in songs and they also really cheer me up during summer school. This song really helps me get through the week. I love Peggy Sue and when I first saw this video it made my day a little bit better and a little bit more summery. Enjoy!

VHS Generation Loss
I find video generation loss fascinating. The process includes making a copy of a copy of a copy and so on of a video tape. What happens is outstanding. With each copy, the quality decreases and the picture distorts until the video is almost unidentifiable. This video mixes a few generations together, which I thought showcased it well. I personally find the warped videos and bleeding colors very interesting and inspiring but then again, maybe I just have too much free time on my hands.

Rad Rabbits
I love Paul Smith's clothing. I am a huge fan. I love my sweaters, shirts, and shoes, but my favorite buy from Paul Smith is a ceramic rabbit. When I walked into a Paul Smith store, I was instantly drawn to them. They really give a room a finishing touch. Check out their home section here.

Streetpeeper
Okay, here is another inspiration source for your outfits. I just came across this website and I am in love with it. Now you may see on some fashion websites they might have a section called street style where they take pictures of people attending fashion shows or just looking fabulous, but this takes that to a whole new level. Streetpeeper goes around everyday in different cities and photographs unique and amazing street style and tells you where you can get the outfit.

ASOS's Spring Trends
Men's
ASOS looked back for spring 2010. They went to the nineties which could be risky, but their Preppy Nineties collection focuses on colors and they describe it as "a culture clash between th White's Isle's acid house clubs of the early '90s and the laid back cool of modern-day old Ibiza Town" (ASOS). I think these looks are a positive influence for the spring especially as the weather heats up. I will be trying to incorporate this style into my wardrobe but I must say I could do with some longer shorts. Check the collection out here.

Women's
ASOS is sending out an Urban Army for this spring. Prepare for battle with these military inspired casual classics. The collection put together by ASOS is a big spin for the spring. While other trends might call for flowery prints and flowing skirts, this collection's trend requires leather vests and army camo jackets. If you are inspired by ASOS's collection that should be an easy step considering this winter's trends. Check it out here.

Rocking Ray-bans
I was looking on the Ray-ban Rooms website. Ray-ban Rooms is a guide to cool new and rising bands in the UK. It tells you who they are and were to see them. They also sponsored a series of performances which included performances by Remi Nicole, The Golden Silvers, and The Wild Palms. Here are some pictures of the artists showing the right way to wear shades:

Recycling Shoes
In these hard times it is hard to afford some fashion. Here is a tip on how to save some money. After awhile shoes wear out, get scuffed up, or get damaged in the rain. If you have light colored shoes, and this happens to them, stop and don't throw them out. You can use shoe dye and leather paint to make a completely new feel. Now you don't have to dye them yourself. Chances are, your shoe-shiner will do it for you. This technique will help you save a bunch of money. Nowadays, you can even dye them in crazy colors like pink, yellow, and highlighter green. I got a pair of mine painted. Here are some pictures:

Awkward Steps!
After Christmas, people put away their stockings, take down their trees and wreaths and prepare for spring. It isn't quite spring yet, so what do you wear then? It is too late to wear red and green but to early to switch to floral dresses and skirts. Remember it is still winter. To solve this problem, try incorporating bright colors into your winter outfits. Here are some pictures from the Dries Van Noten Autumn/Winter Collection that show how you should embrace this awkward transition:
